About Us
How did we begin?
Psychiatry and Art. Two fields that nourish each other, striving to define one another as disciplines by seeking to understand and unravel each other. Psychiatry, on its way to becoming a science, is a field that draws definitions from ancient Greek to classical and even contemporary art, its creators, subjects, heroes and forms, nourishing its language. So much so that sometimes a literary text, painting or film can pioneer psychiatric diagnosis and treatment methods, or an artistic production can be inspired by psychiatric issues.
This is precisely the intersection point from which we set out. On the one hand, to lay the groundwork for current psychiatric debates, raise individual awareness, and contribute to the process of coping with problems; on the other hand, to highlight the reflections of concepts related to psychiatry in the artistic field. To advance in this field and, in doing so, to deepen the definitions in both fields, to create opportunities for discussion at the points where the journal reaches. In this context, our goal is to be readable at different levels of depth, without becoming superficial.
Our determination to achieve our goal is evident from our authors. Both the diversity of subject matter and areas of endeavour and the wealth of knowledge and experience should be highlighted.
Who are we?

In 2007, it became a company under the name Art Psychiatry Treatment, Education, Research, Publishing and Corporate Consultancy Ltd. and expanded its range of services. In 2009, it opened a branch in Istanbul. Education and publishing activities are carried out in Istanbul.
Art Publishing began publishing the Psike, Psikeart and Memlekent magazines and books in 2009. In addition, its new publication, Psikesinema magazine, has been available in stores since September 2015.
In 2002, it began organising Psikeart Days events, which bring together corporate and individual consultancy and training services based in Istanbul with art and psychiatry.
Psikeart and Psikesinema continue to organise various art events in collaboration with various art institutions as of 2018.
Our vision is to provide patients with quality healthcare services and to contribute to our scientific, social, and cultural life through the educational events we organise and the journals we publish.
